The line most often described as arriving, where the ground reads as familiar before anything at all has been earned.
The bottom of the sky, directly beneath the Midheaven and on the far side of the Earth from it. It is the angle of private ground, and it governs home, family, property, roots, and the part of a life nobody is watching.
An Imum Coeli line is a meridian, and it is the exact opposite meridian to the same planet's Midheaven line: half a world apart, one straight stroke each.
The Imum Coeli is the foundation of a chart, and the Moon is at home there in the plainest sense. The two agree about what matters, which is rare among the forty pairs and is most of the reason this one has a reputation. The caution is not that anything goes wrong. It is that ground this comfortable asks very little, and a life can shrink to fit it without anybody noticing.

Roots go down quickly here, and ancestry turns from an abstraction into something you actually want to know.
Comfort this complete asks almost nothing of you, and a life can quietly narrow to the size of its own kitchen. Nostalgia is the local weather, and old grief tends to surface alongside the ease rather than instead of it.
The line to bring a question about where to stop. It is unusually direct about belonging and correspondingly unhelpful about ambition. If the decision in front of you is whether to take the harder job in the further city, this line will keep talking about the kitchen, and it will be both right and beside the point.

Nowhere in the gazetteer sits within 80 km of this line: no city of 100,000 people or more, and no national capital. That is a real answer rather than a missing one. This line spends its length over water, ice or ground nobody has built a city on.

The distances are measured. Each is the shortest great-circle distance from a real settlement to the exact curve of the line, computed against a committed public-domain gazetteer by the same engine that measures a paying customer's own.
The interpretation is a different kind of thing and we would rather say so than blur it. It is craft, written by hand in the tradition locational astrologers have refined since the nineteen seventies, and it describes what a place tends to support and to demand. It is not a prediction, and no line on any map decides what happens to a person.
