The top of the sky: the meridian where this planet stood highest at the minute you were born. It is the angle of the public record, and it governs work, standing, and the thing a person ends up known for, which is not always the thing they set out to do.
A Midheaven line is a meridian. It runs pole to pole at a single longitude, which is why it draws straight while the horizon lines curve.
The Midheaven is the part of a chart the world can see, and the Moon is the part of a person that usually is not. Putting the two together is what makes this line unusual: it turns an inner life into a professional asset. Work that feeds, houses, teaches or listens travels well under it, and the exposure that comes with that is the same thing as the gift rather than a side effect of it.

Nowhere in the gazetteer sits within 80 km of this line: no city of 100,000 people or more, and no national capital. That is a real answer rather than a missing one. This line spends its length over water, ice or ground nobody has built a city on.
Nearest first, kept 150 km apart so a list reads as a map. Countries on the US State Department Do Not Travel list are left out, checked 2026-07-26. Everything named is within 80 km, the tightest band we use; influence carries out to 805 km. The field guide has the bands in full.
The distances are measured. Each is the shortest great-circle distance from a real settlement to the exact curve of the line, computed against a committed public-domain gazetteer by the same engine that measures a paying customer's own.
The interpretation is a different kind of thing and we would rather say so than blur it. It is craft, written by hand in the tradition locational astrologers have refined since the nineteen seventies, and it describes what a place tends to support and to demand. It is not a prediction, and no line on any map decides what happens to a person.
