The western horizon: where this planet was sinking out of sight as you were born. It is the Ascendant's opposite point and the angle of the other party, governing partners, rivals and counterparts, and whatever reaches a life through other people rather than through effort.
A Descendant line is a curve, not a stripe. The longitude where a planet sets shifts with latitude, and it shifts hardest near the latitudes where that planet stops setting at all.
On the Descendant Uranus makes the other party unpredictable. Meetings are accidental, connections form fast and rearrange faster, and the arrangements that work here are often ones that would work nowhere else. Freedom is the operating condition rather than a negotiated term, which suits some people exactly and asks others to give up the one thing they wanted from partnership.

What arrives quickly tends to leave the same way and without much explanation. Reliability is scarce, commitment reads as a threat to both parties, and you can collect thrilling company that no one could build a life with.
Read this line for a decision about who you want to be surprised by. It suits a move into a scene unlike the one you came from, and it suits arrangements that do not have a standard shape. It is a difficult line to weigh for anyone whose main hope from partnership is that it will be steady.
Useful after a controlling or airless relationship, when the lesson is that closeness need not cost autonomy. It will demand that you hold people loosely and cost you the comfort of certainty, and it will teach you to be free inside connection rather than only outside it.
