What this is

A real, unedited reading.

Everything below came out of the same engine and the same Vela who will read your chart. It has not been rewritten, trimmed, or cherry-picked from several attempts. This is one run of the pipeline, published as it arrived.

Jimi Hendrix's birth data is public and rated AA on Astro-Databank, the highest accuracy class there is: a birth certificate or civil birth registry in hand, not a recollection. See the record.

We chose the candidate places and wrote the question in Jimi's voice, from the documented biography. The three cities that made and remade him (London, New York and Los Angeles), read against the sky he was born under. Vela received exactly what a customer's intake carries, a first name, a birth moment, the places, the question, and nothing else.

In short

New York carries your sky. Several of your planets land there, and together they favor exactly what you asked about: work, money, being seen. It reads loud in work and career, money, home, creativity, healing, and being seen. Los Angeles, by contrast, holds none of your lines at all, so the sky offers it nothing extra to work with. One caution before you act: New York's welcome is not an easy one. It asks for real structure and real depth, not just applause.

Your places at a glance

Here is every place you asked about, scored across eight parts of a life.

Read it knowing this. Most places come out loud in two or three of the eight and quiet in the rest. That is normal, and it is not a verdict. Quiet does not mean bad, and it does not mean nothing is there. It means the sky is not amplifying that part of life here. Sometimes quiet is exactly what you want: nobody looking for a year of rest wants their money and their career turned up loud.

There are five steps: quiet, a trace, present, strong, loud. Five, and not a score out of a hundred, because five steps is as fine as this method honestly goes.

Under each place you will find the lines that produced its bands, tagged with the measurements they came from. MC means the Midheaven, the highest point of the sky at your birth. IC is the point opposite it, underfoot. ASC is the Ascendant, the eastern horizon. DSC is the Descendant, the western horizon. Those four are the angles. A planetary line is the path on the earth where a planet stood on one of those angles at the moment you were born. A paran is the other kind of mark this method reads. It is a latitude rather than a path: two planets reach their angles together all along it, so it touches a place by how far north or south that place sits.

A chip names an orb too. An orb is simply how much room a line is given: how far from it you can stand and still be inside what it does.

One chip gives a figure in degrees. A planet is angular at a place when it sits close to one of those four angles in a chart drawn for that place, and the degrees are how close. It is a second way of measuring the same strength, and it often disagrees with the distance. Where the two disagree, the reading is pitched at whichever is weaker. That second chart has a name: it is your relocated chart, the same birth moment re-cast as if you had been born in that place.

A planet stands in a zodiac sign as well as on a line. The signs are the twelve parts of the sky the planets travel through: Aries, Taurus, Pisces and nine more. Each one colours how its planet behaves.

A chip may also name the planet's own condition, in the old words for it. Domicile or exaltation means the planet is at home, in a sign it rules or is honoured in. Detriment or fall means it is ill at ease, in a sign it struggles in. A planet at home delivers what its line promises more fully, so the condition moves the band.

London, the silent room.

Nothing here is loud. All eight are quiet.

No planetary line reaches this place inside 805 km, the widest orb this engine reads. That is room, not absence.

New York, the wiring already live.

Loud in work and career, money, home, creativity, healing and being seen. Quiet in meaning.

Home and healing rest on Saturn IC 229 km peak orb 2.8° to the angle. Work and career, money, creativity and being seen rest on Venus MC 413 km background 4.6° to the angle. Love rests on Pluto DSC 556 km background not angular here.

Los Angeles, an unplugged instrument.

Nothing here is loud. All eight are quiet.

The reading

The Sky at Seattle

Jimi, you asked where the sound in your head finally lands, since nobody where you are can hear it yet. That question is the door here, and it is worth honoring before anything else.

The sky over Seattle held nothing for this. No planetary line runs close enough to touch it. The nearest, your Venus on the Ascendant and your Saturn on the Descendant, sit over eleven hundred kilometres off, well beyond the outer edge of any orb. The Ascendant is the eastern horizon at the moment of birth, the angle of how you meet the world. The Descendant sits opposite it, the angle of partnership. Both are too far away here to say anything at all.

So every part of this chart's expression, career, money, being seen, sits quiet at the place you were born. Quiet is not empty. It means no line was assigned to switch anything on there. Think of it like a radio built in a room with no signal: the set works perfectly, it simply has nothing local to receive.

There is one exception, and it is narrower than a line. A paran is a latitude, not a place, where two planets are angular at the same moment, and its influence wraps the whole globe along that parallel. Seattle sits close to three: Jupiter rising with Neptune overhead, Venus setting with Pluto below, Saturn setting with Neptune overhead. Each lands within a degree of the city's own latitude, which is inside the band where a paran still speaks. None of them touch career or money by the brief's own reckoning. But if you have stayed near Seattle, that triple weather, expansive vision fused with undertow, charm fused with intensity, has likely been the felt climate of your days regardless of what the categories say.

This matters for what comes next. You were built under a sky with no local amplifier for the work you do. That is not a flaw in you. It is a fact about geography, and it explains something real: why the sound in your head has had no room, here, built to hold it. A chart this quiet at its own origin point is unusual. Most people carry at least one line close to home. Yours does not. Whatever has felt unheard was never a failure of the music. It was the absence of a stage.

So the question you are asking, whether it lands in London, New York, or Los Angeles, is not idle. It is the same question the sky itself seems to be posing back to you: where, if not here, does this chart finally get loud. Let's look at each one honestly, on its own terms, starting with the farthest.

London, Far and Quiet

London sits under no line of yours. Saturn's rising line runs 839 kilometers west of it, Pluto's line to the bottom of the sky runs 939 kilometers west. Both are well beyond the outer band of 805 kilometers where any influence stops counting at all. That means neither is felt there in any real way. Out of orb is not a soft word here. It means the sky is silent on this ground.

There is a paran worth naming, though a paran is not a line. It is a latitude, not a place: the parallel where two planets are angular at the exact same moment, so it reaches a whole belt of the earth regardless of what city sits on it. Two cross London's latitude closely. One fuses Saturn's rising with Neptune's culmination, the other fuses the Sun's rising with Neptune's culmination, and both sit within a fifth of a degree of London's own 51.5 north. That is close, only fourteen kilometers off at most.

But a paran seasons a place, it does not run it. Think of it as weather passing through a town on its way somewhere else, rather than a building standing in it. These two whisper something about vision and structure meeting at once, Saturn's discipline and the Sun's exposure both touched by Neptune's blur and dream. It is a fine mood for a person already working there. It is not a career line. It is not wealth. It is not a hand reaching down to place your sound in front of an audience.

The category bands confirm it plainly. Work, money, creativity, being seen: every one of them reads quiet in London. Quiet is not empty. It means no line here amplifies that part of a life, not that the place is hostile to it. London may hold your name if you build for it. Nothing in this sky is doing that work for you.

This matters against your question. You asked where the sound lands, meaning where it is heard, valued, paid for. London offers you no angular support for any of that. No planet in your chart sits close to an angle here in the relocated chart, the same birth moment recast as though you had been born on this ground. Not Venus, not the Sun, not Saturn. The sky here is not against you. It is simply not speaking.

If London calls you for other reasons, that is a real reason and yours to weigh. But measured strictly against the ask, where does the sound finally land, this city offers atmosphere without amplification. A paran's faint fused note, and otherwise silence. Hold that plainly before you turn to what New York and Los Angeles offer instead.

New York, Where the Lines Stack

New York carries more of your sky than either of the other two cities. Saturn's line to the bottom of the sky, your natal Saturn in Gemini, runs 229 kilometers away. That puts it within peak orb, a strong and steady coloring of daily life. Saturn here asks for structure. It wants the private hours built plainly, the past accounted for, the home made solid rather than pretty. Gemini's quickness does not escape this. It only gives Saturn a sharper tongue to say it with.

There is a second measure worth explaining here, because New York is the first place where it truly matters. Astrocartographers call it the relocated chart. It means recasting your exact birth moment as though you had been born in this city instead of Seattle. Saturn sits 2.8 degrees from the angle called the Imum Coeli in that recast chart. That is strong angularity, and it agrees with the ground distance. Both measures point the same direction. That agreement is the most confident thing this brief can tell you about any line in this reading.

Venus, your Sagittarius Venus, runs the Midheaven 413 kilometers off, background influence, felt when you reach for it rather than always underfoot. In the relocated chart she sits 4.6 degrees from that same angle, a moderate closeness. Venus here means work arriving through charm and relationship rather than pursuit. Doors open because someone likes what they hear. This is aligned squarely with the wealth and visibility you asked about.

Pluto, in your Leo, sits on the Descendant 556 kilometers off, also background, though not angular in the relocated chart at this distance in degrees. Where it is felt, it makes any bond, professional or personal, total rather than casual. Nothing stays surface level under this line.

The Sun in Sagittarius touches the Midheaven too, 660 kilometers out, at the faint outer edge of orb, weak in the relocated chart as well. Name it and move past it. It is real but thin here.

New York's category bands confirm the shape of all this. Work and career read strong. Money reads strong. Creativity and being seen both read strong. Home and healing read loud, Saturn's true signature. Love reads present, Pluto's mark. Meaning reads quiet, no line serves it.

Three parans also cross this latitude, each a razor-thin band where two planets share an angle at once. The nearest, Sun culminating with Pluto setting, sits only 19 kilometers from the city. Think of it as a seam in the sky itself, running the whole way around the globe at that one parallel. It fuses recognition with intensity, a single climate rather than two separate weathers.

Los Angeles, the Long Silence

Los Angeles holds nothing of yours. No planetary line comes within range of it at all. The nearest are Jupiter's line to the descendant and the Moon's line to the descendant, both over thirteen hundred kilometers east. That is far past the eight hundred and five kilometer edge where an influence stops counting as one. Out there, a line is context only. It is not weather.

There is no paran here either. The band that fuses two planets by latitude simply does not reach thirty four point one degrees north. And there is no crossing, no two lines meeting to fuse their themes near the city. The category bands agree without exception: work, money, creativity, being seen, every part of the life you asked about reads quiet. Not weak, not damaged. Quiet. No line here serves it.

This is worth sitting with rather than rushing past. Quiet is not empty. It means the sky you were born under has nothing switched on in that place, for better or worse. Think of it as a room with the instruments unplugged. You can still play in it. The amplifier simply is not there.

For most questions, that would be a neutral finding, a place among many. For this one, it is close to an answer. You asked where the sound in your head finally lands, where it gets heard rather than merely played. Los Angeles offers you no natal Venus, no Sun, no Saturn, nothing angular in the relocated chart either, to carry that signal outward. Whatever you built there, you would be building without any current in the wiring your birth chart supplies.

That does not make it a bad city. It makes it a city where your chart is a bystander. If you already have reasons to be pulled toward Los Angeles, reasons outside astrology entirely, this reading does not argue against them. It only tells you plainly that none of your natal planets is doing work there. No line is asking anything of you in that place, and none is offering anything either.

Compare that to a room where an instrument is already plugged in and someone is standing near the socket. That is the difference between silence by default and silence because the power was never run to the building. Los Angeles is the former. Whatever happens there happens on your own initiative alone, unassisted by the sky that shaped you on the twenty-seventh of November, 1942.

Carrying the Sound

Here is what the sky actually gives you to work with. New York holds four of your lines and three parans besides. London and Los Angeles hold none. That is not a close call. It is the difference between a place that has already been assigned weather and two places that have not.

But holding the most lines is not the same as holding the easiest ones. Saturn at New York's Imum Coeli asks for structure, obligation, the slow rebuilding of a foundation. Venus at the Midheaven offers charm and taste as currency, the kind of door that opens because someone likes what they hear. Pluto at the Descendant means any bond formed there will run deep and will not stay comfortable. This is not a soft landing. It is a demanding one that pays in something durable rather than something easy.

If you are still near Seattle, know that this decision will not be made by proximity. None of these three cities sits inside your birthplace's field. You would be choosing a sky, not adjusting one you already live under.

What to weigh first: whether you want the sound heard through steady, unglamorous structure, which is Saturn's offer, or through being liked before you are understood, which is Venus's. New York gives you both at once, stacked, which is rare and which is also a lot to carry into one city.

What to watch for: Saturn IC can make a place feel like duty before it feels like home. Pluto DSC can make the people you meet there feel like they are seeing straight through you before you have chosen what to show them. Neither of these is a warning to stay away. Both are the cost of the durability on offer.

What to do first, if the move itself is not yet possible: aim the work there before you aim yourself. Send the recordings toward New York's rooms. Find the people already living inside that Saturn-and-Venus climate and let them hear it before you relocate a single box. A city's weather can be engaged from a distance, in months of correspondence and one visit measured in weeks, long before it needs to be engaged in person.

Jimi, the sound in your head is already finished. What is being asked is not whether it is good enough. It is which sky will make the listening easier. New York's answer is written in Saturn's foundations and Venus's welcome, both real, both costly, both yours to walk into with open eyes.

May the room you finally play in be exactly as demanding as it needs to be, and no more.

Where these lines run

Everything above measured the sky at the places you asked about. This is the other half of the question, and it is the one most people want next: if a line does not reach you, where does it actually run?

Each line is named by its planet and by the angle that planet sat on at the moment you were born: the Midheaven, the highest point of the sky; the Imum Coeli, the point underfoot; the Ascendant, the eastern horizon; the Descendant, the western horizon.

Below are the lines that speak to what you came here for and do not already reach anywhere you named, with the real places they pass through. A place is listed only if it sits within 80 km of the line, which is the same narrow band the reading calls being under it, and only if it is a city of at least a hundred thousand people or a national capital. Smaller places sit on these lines too. They are left out because a name you have never heard is not much of an answer.

Two other things are left out, so you know what you are looking at. Cities in countries the United States currently advises against all travel to are not listed here, on that published list rather than on any view of ours, and that list changes. And a place is named once, under the line it belongs to most, even where two of your lines pass close to the same city.

None of this is advice. A line running through a city is a fact about geography, in the same way that a line running past your own city is. What you do with it is yours.

Your Venus at the Midheaven. The closest this line comes to anywhere you named is New York, 413 km away. Your Venus line passes Toronto, Canada at 39 km, Quito, Ecuador at 45 km, and Panama City, Panama at 69 km. Toronto, Canada carries your Pluto on the Descendant at 5 km as well.

Your Pluto on the Descendant. The closest this line comes to anywhere you named is New York, 556 km away. Your Pluto line passes Cleveland, United States at 24 km, Oaxaca, Mexico at 50 km, and New Orleans, United States at 61 km.

How this was worked out

A deterministic astronomy engine did the arithmetic here. Not the writer.

It works out where each of your ten planets stood at the moment you were born. Then it draws the path across the earth where each one sat on one of the four angles. Those angles are the highest point of the sky, the point underfoot, and the two horizons. Ten planets against four angles is forty lines. Then it measures the shortest distance across the ground from each of your places to each of those forty lines.

Then it measures the same strength a second time, differently. It re-casts your chart as though you had been born in that place. Then it asks how far the planet sits from the angle itself. The first measure is in kilometres on the ground. The second is in degrees of sky. They are different questions and they often disagree, which is a finding rather than a fault. Where they disagree, the reading is pitched at whichever of the two is weaker.

The bands in the table come from those two measurements, plus the classical condition of the planet in your own chart: whether it sits in a sign it rules, or one it struggles in. Nothing was rounded up to make a place sound better.

Vela wrote the words. She is an AI astrocartographer, and she is told the numbers rather than working them out, so nothing she says about a distance or an orb can be invented. Real people built the engine, wrote the forty line interpretations she reads from, and set the rules about what a reading is allowed to promise.

You did not tell us where you live now, so there is no baseline to measure the rest against, and nothing here assumes an address for you.

You gave us an exact birth time, and it is worth showing what that bought you. The closest line to any place you named is your Saturn line, at the point underfoot, 229 km from New York. Move your birth time 15 minutes either way and that same line sits somewhere between 88 and 546 km away. That is enough to change which band it falls in, so the strongest single measurement in this reading is the one your clock affects most.

What would sharpen this:

An exact birth time, from a certificate or a hospital record rather than a memory. That is the single input everything else rests on, because the angles turn with the clock.

Telling us where you live now, if you have not, so the places you are weighing can be read against the one you already know.

That was 3,816 words for a sky that stopped moving in 1970. Yours is still turning.
